About IjawJournal.org
A digital publishing platform for scholarship, books, culture, research and ideas
Publish your work. Preserve your voice. Use AI when you want it. Bring in a human when you need one.
Mission
IjawJournal.org makes publishing accessible to authors, scholars, researchers, students, communities and institutions, with particular attention to Ijaw and African knowledge. Its heritage is Ijaw; its publishing infrastructure serves authors and works well beyond a single discipline.

Publishing principles
- Publishing is the product. AI makes publishing faster and more affordable; it is never the publisher of record.
- AI for speed. Humans for judgment. Authors for ownership.
- Transparency. Every AI-assisted action is labelled, and nothing is described as human-reviewed unless a person reviewed it.
- Integrity. AI must never fabricate citations, sources, quotations or findings.
- Ownership. Authors keep ownership of their work. We receive only the rights needed to host, process, publish, distribute, display and archive it on the terms the author chooses.
- Access. Every verified author can publish one qualifying work free each calendar year.
