Copyright & ownership
You keep ownership of your work unless you explicitly agree otherwise. By publishing, you grant IjawJournal.org the non-exclusive rights needed to host, process, publish, distribute, display and archive the work under the license you choose (All Rights Reserved, a Creative Commons license, an institutional license or your own terms). You confirm you have the right to publish what you submit.
The free annual publication
Each verified author account may publish one qualifying work per calendar year without a publishing fee. The allowance belongs to the author account, not to an email address, and it does not include human editorial work, professional copyediting, custom design, extensive formatting, marketing or translation. If a free submission is not accepted, the allowance is returned for that year. We may review accounts that appear to exist only to obtain extra free publications.
How we use AI
- AI assists; it does not replace human editors and is not the publisher of record.
- Every AI analysis records which engine produced it. You can see what was analysed, what was suggested and whether anything was changed.
- AI suggestions never change your manuscript automatically.
- We never describe AI output as human-reviewed unless an editor actually reviewed it.
- AI must not fabricate citations, sources, quotations or research findings.
Files & security
Accepted formats: .docx, .doc, .odt, .rtf, .txt, .pdf, .epub, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .webp. Limits: manuscripts 50 MB, book manuscripts 100 MB, cover images 10 MB, other supporting files 25 MB, up to 10 files per submission.
Every file's contents are checked against its type; the name you upload is never trusted. Files are renamed with generated identifiers, stored privately outside the website, and only you and assigned editorial staff can open an unpublished manuscript. Every upload and download is logged.
Payments & refunds
Prices are shown before you pay, in US dollars. Payments are processed securely by Flutterwave. Publishing fees and services are separate from donations and from third-party costs such as ISBN registration, printing or marketplace fees. If we have not started work on a service, you may cancel for a full refund. Once work has begun, we refund the unstarted portion. Publication fees are refunded if we decline to publish the work. Privacy
We collect only what we need to publish your work and run your account. You control what appears on your public author page; your email address is never shown. We do not sell personal data.
